What types of food do you make?

I work hard to tailor menus to fit your individual tastes and dietary needs. I am constantly experimenting with flavors and techniques to further my skills and expand my repertoire. I have many tried and true recipes that I have developed over the years and am able to adjust to accommodate various food allergies and sensitivities (such as gluten intolerance, egg/nut/milk allergies, red meat allergy).

Some meals we have in regular rotation at my home include:

  • Spinach pie – puff pastry crust wrapped around spinach filling with feta cheese, garlic, onions and oregano. Great by itself or paired with lemon garlic chicken or soup. (Nothing is quite as satisfying as watching your toddler shoving handfuls of spinach into their mouth!)
  • Mom’s meatloaf with mashed potatoes and sautéed snap peas – traditional beef/pork blend meatloaf recipe that’s been passed down in my family. (This was how my husband learned that meatloaf for dinner wasn’t a punishment!)
  • Salisbury steak – mushroom gravy with ground beef “steak”, also easily adaptable with ground turkey. I enjoy it with mashed potatoes or egg noodles. Nothing like those TV dinners of yore!
  • Individual Garden Vegetable Turkey Loaf with roasted sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli – ground turkey combined with shredded veggies. All the comfort of meatloaf, with less fat and bonus hidden vegetables.
  • Spaghetti and Meatballs – traditional beef/pork blend meatballs or a lighter turkey/mushroom meatball paired with homemade marinara sauce and noodles. (I almost always have meatballs and sauce in my freezer to be pulled for busy evenings!)
  • Asian style “spaghetti and meatballs” – ginger pork meatballs with a cold rice noodle salad using the produce that looks best at the moment (cucumbers, carrots, cabbage, bell peppers, bean sprouts, etc.)
  • Quinoa black bean salad with pork chops or chicken
  • Buttermilk roasted chicken with parmesan quinoa and sautéed green beans
  • Sticky soy ginger glazed chicken with garlic noodles and steamed broccoli
  • Pork and Peanut Dragon Noodles with roasted broccoli
  • Turkey sausage, egg and cheese breakfast burritos
  • Homemade Hot Pockets (usually filled with leftover steak, peppers and cheese; diced ham, broccoli and cheese; meatballs, sauce and cheese – the options are endless!)
  • Baked oatmeal – oatmeal baked with seasonal fruit, makes a nice portable bar for a healthy breakfast you can eat on the go.
  • Soup! All the soups – chili, chowders, cheesy, healthy, meaty or vegan. Makes a delicious and satisfying dinner paired with a salad and fresh rolls.
